Somebody should tell Jimmy Wales about this.  Alexandre Oudin, a French artist, has distinguished his Facebook page from the masses with a creative use of the now more prominently featured pictures of the new Facebook profile.

(If this paticular Facebook profile layout doesn’t look familiar to you, you probably haven’t “upgraded” to the new look.  Or it’s possible that you don’t even have a Facebook.  If so, we wish you luck with your further endeavors, and invite you to watch this educational video.)

The new Facebook profile features your five most recently tagged photos across the top of the interface, with the option to block photos from being displayed in that particular space as a way of letting you curate what you see.  The left vertical bar displays your profile picture, which, judging by Mr. Oudin’s profile, now has a generous allowance for vertical pixel length.

Of course, on the Facebook profile of any user I know, this careful arrangement is subject to pranking from anyone who uploads a picture and tags it with your name.  Hopefully Mr. Oudin has nicer friends than average.

Or barring that, quick reflexes and a smart phone with full charge.

Susana Polo thought she'd get her Creative Writing degree from Oberlin, work a crap job, and fake it until she made it into comics. Instead she stumbled into a great job: founding and running this very website (she's Editor at Large now, very fancy). She's spoken at events like Geek Girl Con, New York Comic Con, and Comic Book City Con, wants to get a Batwoman tattoo and write a graphic novel, and one of her canine teeth is in backwards.
