If you’ve ever had the itch to own everything ever released for the Sega Game Gear, now is the moment to strike. An eBay listing from user collectors_king claims to have the entire library of every Nintendo and Sega console, as well as some outliers, factory sealed and ready for purchase. That means they all have their boxes, instruction manuals, and that smell inside that only sealed games have. And it all can be bought for the low, low price of €999,999.99.
Crude math tells me that the exchange rate as of writing has it coming out to $1,227,299.99. So if you happen to have a million point two dollars sitting around for the express purpose of impulse purchases, it seems like your time is now. If you don’t have that kind of reserves, never fear! The description of the items indicates that the seller is willing to accept serious offers for separate sets. What amounts to a serious offer for the entire library of Nintendo 64 games is up for debate.
While it might be a hoax, it’s certainly an elaborate one. The eBay listing has a number of pictures relating to the merchandise and tomes of words about the various aspects of it. But then, if you were looking to grab a million point two dollars as a con, you’d be as convincing as you had to be. Regardless, can’t hurt to inquire what it might take. The seller specifically asks for folks not to contact them about a specific title.
Looks like you’ll just have to roll the dice. If you can afford it.
