The follow-up to Carl Sagan’s beloved 1980 classic miniseries, Cosmos: A Space-Time Odyssey, is coming to fruition in late 2014, and thanks to San Diego Comic-Con we’ve finally got a trailer. It’s pretty… indescribable. Breathtaking, yes. Sense-making? Not so much. Hasn’t stopped me from watching three or four times in a row, though.
One thing we’ve definitely got from this, though, is that the “Spaceship of the Imagination” is back and fancier than ever. Tyson also feels kind of a like a Doctor Who character as well, which is pretty dang awesome. I get annoyed when the Doctor plays at God, but Neil is welcome to do it as much as he likes.

- Hopefully they’ve derived some inspiration from Neil’s Twitter
- He is pretty powerful — after all, he got the Daily Show to change their intro
- We do still miss Carl Sagan, though
