As part of it’s intense barketing campaign for this Sunday’s Puppy Bowl X, Animal Planet has announced that First Lady Of The United States Michelle Obama will be participating in the historic event.
Michelle Obama headed the training camp on the White House Lawn last October as part of her “Let’s Move” campaign for physical activity, and will also be participating in the broadcast.
Presidential pups Bo and Sunny were also on hand for training day, where thirteen puppy bowl athletes watched as the First Lady taped a segment kicking off the Puppy Bowl and demonstrating a presidential touchdown dance.
Usually this is the kind of distracting feel-good news we only hear about with the British monarchy, but Puppy Bowl X is obviously a huge deal, so it makes total sense that the President of the United States himself would receive lower billing than a keyboard playing cat and a permakitten like Lil’ Bub. I mean, have you seen her? Adorable.
