Honeymaid’s “This Is Wholesome” ad campaign for graham crackers included same-sex parents and biracial and military families. Sadly, a bunch of people who do not deserve cookies launched a letter writing campaign informing Nabisco of their inexplicable disgust. Nabisco’s reply was heartwarming and priceless.

Here’s Nabisco’s ad, which is sadly still controversial in 2014 :

The ad spot aired on March 10th and prompted this response from notorious conservative group 1 Million Moms:

Nabisco should be ashamed of themselves for their latest Honey Maid and Teddy Graham cracker commercial where they attempt to normalize sin. This commercial not only promotes homosexuality, but then calls the scene in the advertisement wholesome.

Rather than ignoring their haters, Nabisco called them out in this elegant video response:

For once, choosing to engage with lunatics may have been a positive call. The response is affirmation for anyone moved by the original ad that most cookie eaters out there agree: “the only thing that really matters when it comes to family is love.”

My heart is now warmed, if anyone wants to roast smores over it.
