We’re already shared with you a bunch of stuff from San Diego Comic-Con (Posters! Collectibles! Toys! Everything else!). But with Day #1 now officially having passed by in a haze of excitement and exhaustion, there are a lot of little tidbits to share with you. Like George R.R. Martin channeling Daenerys Targaryen, above. Also: Benedict Cumberbatch on Doctor Strange! Mulleted Peter Dinklage welcoming us to the electric dreams factory, suckers! A new look at Star Wars Rebels! Tatiana Maslany as Shaun (as in of the Dead)! And more.
If you’re at Comic-Con, you can win a chance to be in the Adam Sandler-directed video game comedy Pixels. If you’re not at Comic-Con, there’s still joy to be had in more sassy Dinklage mullet. (via Collider)
- The Walking Dead comics creator Robert Kirkman has provided some info on his new Cinemax show Outcast, the pilot of which “follows a young man who has been plagued by possession since he was a child and now seeks answers that may end life as we know it.” The second issue of the comic will debut at the Con on Saturday. Harley Davidson has partnered with Marvel Studios to put their first electric motorcycle, Project Livewire, Avengers: Age of Ultron. The upshot of that is that we get this new picture of Black Widow, with Cap’s shield, on a Harley. Life is good. (photo by PRNewsFoto/Harley-Davidson Motor Company, via SuperHeroHype)
- Benedict Cumberbatch trolled the crowd at the Dreamworks panel about those Doctor Strange rumors, answering the question “Which superhero would you like to play?” with “Nurse Normal.” As Pajiba points out, Cumberbatch already being at the con would dovetail pretty nicely with a casting announcement at Saturday’s Marvel panel. Pedro Pascal’s there too, though. I know it would never happen, but God please.
Disney XD and Lucasfilm released this new Star Wars Rebels trailer. Threepio and Artoo put in an appearance, as does the very, very British baddie The Inquisitor, voiced by Jason Isaacs. (via SuperHeroHype)
- Tor.com recounts Betty White/William Shatner banter at the Legends of TV Land panel. Choice excerpt from White: “Am I a geek or a nerd? I’ll be anything you want me to be.”
Orphan Black‘s Tatiana Maslany talks SDCC and Shaun of the Dead for The Hollywood Reporter. (via Warming Glow)
