There’s never been a Monsters Inc. 2. But back when Pixar and Disney were still planning on going their separate ways, before Disney tearfully called them up and asked them to come back and run the creative team of the entire company, Disney was putting together its own computer animation devision in preparation for the split. Since Disney owned the licenses to all the Pixar movies up to that point, they sure as heck weren’t going to just sit on them. This is when plans were put into production to make a Toy Story 3 and a Monsters Inc. 2.

When Pixar and Disney got back together and John Lasseter was made Principal Creative Advisor for Disney, he immediately scrapped both projects. But, as ScreenRant points out, that doesn’t mean that there’s no evidence, and this animatic of a potential Monsters Inc. 2 trailer is really sweet, actually. We’d love to see Pixar pick this one up again except for the fact that, judging by the escalating amount of weeping caused by Pixar movies, we’d probably have to go to the theater in a scuba suit.

But we’d leave the mask off.  It would just fill with our own tears.

Instead she stumbled into a great job: founding and running this very website (she's Editor at Large now, very fancy). She's spoken at events like Geek Girl Con, New York Comic Con, and Comic Book City Con, wants to get a Batwoman tattoo and write a graphic novel, and one of her canine teeth is in backwards.
