Remember a few years ago when Mini-Huntress and Power Girl stole our superlady-loving hearts? If these images of their latest Halloween costumes (which dad John Marcotte sent to us over the weekend—thanks!) are any indication, then the girls are back with a vengeance this year.

John and Patti Marcotte recently shared these pictures of their daughters, Anya and Stella, on an awesome website they’ve started called Heroic Girls,. Their goal is “dedicated to empowering girls by advocating for strong role models in alternative media — particularly comics.” There’s a full gallery of cosplay pics over on the site, but here are just a few of our favorites:

“What? It’s just a dragon.”

Better start runnin’, Darkseid.

The Marcottes are also encouraging cosplayers and comics enthusiasts of all ages to display their costumes online using the hashtag #iamaheroicgirl,”to show the world that girls can be superheroes, too.” Since New York Comic Con just ended and we’ve all got Halloween on the way, I bet a bunch of our lovely readers would be all too happy to oblige, right?
