What you’re looking at is a photograph taken today outside the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles. These are just some of the 300 (and counting) Twilight fans waiting for the cast of Breaking Dawn Part 1 to walk the red carpet for the film’s premiere. The premiere is still four days away.

Say what you will about fans of Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight saga, they are fans in every sense of the word. They’re well-known for camping out for just about anything having to do with the phenomena that is the book series. The cast of the film series have appeared at the pop-culture convention San Diego Comic-Con twice now and both times, lines have started days before the event did. So it’s not really a surprise to see them lining up to see the cast at the movie premiere. This isn’t even the line-line though, this is the line to be assigned a “camping spot” they’ll be living in for the next few days. I give them and certainly many parents, a lot of credit.

“Given the sickly state of the North American box office, an event pic like this may be just what the doctor ordered for Hollywood’s lifeless box office,” writes Deadline. “The studio has planned various events to relieve the inevitable boredom of the campers this weekend.”

Of course, this is just for the premiere, not the film itself. That won’t be released until November 18 but midnight (or earlier) showings are already selling out. Deadline says MovieTickets.com currently has sold out 1,344 performances and 1,000 are sold out through Fandango.
