And it's not simply a big fart sound.

The Christian Post recently published an op-ed from Pastor Larry Tomczak about the usual thing: how positive depictions of gay people living normal lives are ruing today’s youth, blah blah blah. But not everybody he called out was a fictional character. In fact, one of them runs her own wildly popular talk show, and she has her own message for the youth of today.

I have only one thing to add to Ms. Degeneres’ reply, and that is if you’re going to suggest that the solution to gay television is to encourage kids to watch that paragon of classic wedded life, I Love Lucy, this product of racial miscegenation (points thumb at self) is going to laugh you all the way to the fact that the show nearly didn’t get made because of how scandalous white/Latino unions were thought to be at the time.

Susana Polo thought she'd get her Creative Writing degree from Oberlin, work a crap job, and fake it until she made it into comics. Instead she stumbled into a great job: founding and running this very website (she's Editor at Large now, very fancy). She's spoken at events like Geek Girl Con, New York Comic Con, and Comic Book City Con, wants to get a Batwoman tattoo and write a graphic novel, and one of her canine teeth is in backwards.
