Obviously this is more of a Garry Kilworth situation, but something about that weasel just screams Ferahgo the Assassin to me. If I squint I swear I can make out a tiny mace and chain.

Photographer Martin Le-May was walking with his wife in an east London park when he snapped this pic of a weasel stealing a ride on the back of a European green woodpecker (goodbeast or badbeast?): “The bird flew across us and slightly in our direction; suddenly it was obvious it had a small mammal on its back and this was a struggle for life.”

The woodpecker eventually landed on the ground and tussled with the weasel until Ferahgo ran off, seemingly startled by the photographer and his wife: “The woodpecker left with its life. The weasel just disappeared into the long grass, hungry.”

Mr. Le-May: how have you not written several lengthy novels already about the inter-vermin politics of your local park? You just witnessed a total breakdown of the woodpecker-weasel alliance! Please produce some lore accordingly!
