In the ongoing saga of drama that is this Twin Peaks development, David Lynch has announced on Twitter that he is returning to helm the show, IN ADDITION to adding more episodes.

Lynch’s tweet was confirmed by Showtime’s president, David Nevins. He also added more information about the additional episodes:

This damn fine cup of coffee from Mark and David tastes more delicious than ever. Totally worth the extra brewing time and the cup is even bigger than we expected. David will direct the whole thing which will total more than the originally announced nine hours. Preproduction starts now!!

Why, yes, we’ll totally take a trench-sized cup of Twin Peaks, please, thank you.
