It’s time for Pull Wisely (why yes, that is an Indiana Jones reference), where we give you short snippets of which comics we’re looking forward to each week—and then ask for your recommendations in the comments.
Ours will by no means be a complete list of ALL THE THINGS; after all, we just can’t read everything—or heck, even keep up with how many awesome comics are out there period. But we know you guys love some good stuff, so let us (and your fellow TMSers) know what you’re excited about this week!
Our picks:
A-FORCE #1 – Marvel A-FORCE!! FINALLY!! Writer: G. Willow Wilson Artist: Jorge Molina
LADY MECHANIKA #2 – Benitez For all your bad-ass steampunk lady needs. Writer: M.M. Chen Artist: Joe Benitez
SPIDER-VERSE #1 – Marvel I’m pretty whatever on Spider-Verse, but I do love Mayday Parker. Writer: Mike Costa Artist: Andre Arujo
SHUTTER #12 – Image This wonderful series comes to a big year one finale in this issue. Writer: Joe Keatinge Artist: Leila Del Duca, Own Gieni
PSYCHO BONKERS #1 – Aspen Points off for the ableist slur in the title, but points given for a WOC protagonist. Writer: Vince Hernandez Artist: Adam Archer
ELEVENTH DOCTOR #12 – Titan Is this Jones’/David Bowie’s last outing? Writer: Rob Williams Artist: Simon Fraser, Warren Pleece
JEM & THE HOLOGRAMS #3 – IDW Outrageously better than that horrible movie trailer! Writer: Kelly Thompson Artist: Sophie Campbell

Sam Maggs is a writer and televisioner, currently hailing from the Kingdom of the North (Toronto). Her first book, THE FANGIRL'S GUIDE TO THE GALAXY will be out soon from Quirk Books. Sam’s parents saw Star Wars: A New Hope 24 times when it first came out, so none of this is really her fault.
