AMC seems to be really confident in Fear the Walking Dead. According to Deadline Hollywood, the network announced that the show will be getting a second season. PS – the first season doesn’t air until August 23rd. Eeeeeenteresting…
Season Two of Fear the Walking Dead will be 15 episodes, and will debut in 2016. I’ve gotta say that, while I was initially skeptical (and I still think the title is horrible), the Comic-Con trailer made me think twice, and I’m actually looking forward to this. As you already know, FTWD is a prequel show set in Los Angeles at the same time that Rick Grimes is in a coma. It shows how the zombie apocalypse happened, and in doing so, seems to examine some other stuff that’s really relevant today – the way that we record everything we see, the moral implications of police shooting unarmed civilians, and how difficult it is to let go of feeling safe after living in a society from which we’re removed as we take it all in on screens, seemingly removed from real danger.
What do you think? Are you excited for Fear the Walking Dead?
