Dark Horse Comics’ The Legend of KorraĀ series, penned by the TV show’s co-creatorĀ Mike DiMartino, will delve intoĀ Korra and Asami’s lives after the events of the show. Fellow co-creatorĀ Bryan Konietzko is also “super excited” for the upcoming volumes, now thatĀ that the canonical world of Korra will be continuing in the hands of one of its original creators.

Although the comic series has not yet begun, several Korra art books have been released so far, detailing the costume design and aesthetic of the show.Ā Konietzko calledĀ the art books a “love letter” for the KorraĀ team, and heĀ also emphasized their importance for fansĀ andĀ cosplayers. In particular, Konietzko expressed delight at the idea of a cosplayer attempting Kuvira’s military wear, or perhaps even the Hummingbird mech.

Creating a costume version of the HummingbirdĀ might require a little more than an art book … but it’s a start?
