Luke Cage Casts Simone Missick as “Missy,” a.k.a. Misty Knight

When folks try to think of notable black heroines in comics, Misty Knight’s name often comes up, but shamefully few people have heard of this character. That’s about to change, because Simone Missick will bring her to life in the upcoming Luke Cage TV adaptation.

Missick’s character is named “Missy” according to some sources, but the IMDB credit lists Missick as “Misty Knight,” so let’s go ahead and look forward to the first ever live-action portrayal of this bad-ass former cop with a bionic arm. With Rosario Dawson and Theo Rossi already on board as Claire and Shades, the cast of characters slated to appear on the Cage series is definitely impressive.
