- Also you should just read through everything underneath the hashtag #WomenOfMarvel because there are some amazing gems from that panel—like the fact that five years ago, Marvel had NO female-led titles and today? They have 17. SO GREAT.
- Good grief, why did it have to be snakes? Artist Chris Thornley has reimagined several of our favorite Peanuts characters in iconic scenes from the Indiana Jones franchise, and frankly we’re surprised no one has thought of this before. (via io9)
- Meanwhile, George R.R. Martin may be adapting another one of his books for the small screen. Cinemax has ordered a pilot of Skin Trade, which Martin originally published in 1989 and calls his “werewolf noir”. Hmm. (via Variety)
ICYMI, more exciting genderbending news! We already knew Carrie-Anne Moss was among the cast of Netflix’s Jessica Jones, but we now know she’ll be playing the female reincarnation of lawyer and exec Jeryn Hogarth, the original character from the comics. Jeri Hogarth’s backstory may still be a mystery, but she’ll definitely be involved in some legal entanglements. (via Polygon)
- In a talk for Vanity Fair, J.J. Abrams promised fans that he has the final cut (or the last word on the final edit) for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and that the studio isn’t trying to “Disney-fy” the film. (via Slashfilm)
- Who knew Spongebob was such an intense rocker? Someone got the genius idea to create a mashup video with Ozzy Osbourne’s vocals from the Black Sabbath song “War Pigs” and, well, you’ll just have to watch it for yourself. (via GeekTyrant)
- Gillian Anderson may not have been able to make it to the X-Files panel at NYCC, but she sent over an adorable message from halfway around the world while in the middle of filming another project! (via TVLine)
