We might not have flying cars or hoverboards—well, mass market ones that work over any surface, anyway—but the real 2015 doesn’t often get a lot of credit for the huge ways in which the world has changed since Back to the Future Part II was made. … And that’s probably for the best, because not all of the changes have exactly been good.

Allow this animated College Humor short to demonstrate what it would really be like for Marty McFly to arrive in 2015 from 30 years in the past. Movie futures are always fun to pick apart, but we didn’t know until recently just how wrong Back to the Future II had gotten it. If you’ll excuse me, I’m going to go cry into my Pepsi Perfect and try to hope for a better 2045.
