Mad Max: Fury Road has gotten a lot of Oscar buzz, and for those of you who’re hopeful that it might win one or two, look no further than the results of the Australian Academy Awards, at which Fury Road just earned best picture and best director.

That’s not the only nod the movie received from down under; the film also earned best editing, best cinematography, best score, best sound, and best production design from the AACTA. Plus, it topped the box office this year in Australia, earning $16 million. It did plenty well here in the States, too, of course — but the Aussies loved Fury Road (they might be a little biased, given that the franchise has historically been an Australian project, but of course Americans worked on the the thing too.)

You all may recall that Fury Road already won “Best Film of the Year” from the International Federation of Film Critics, not to mention several other varied accolades — so awards season looks promising for this dystopian darling.

Are you hoping to see Mad Max: Fury Road sweep the Oscars? What about Carol, The Martian, or Creed? Go on, share your predictions.
