Weaver spoke candidly to The Independent about struggling with Fox Studios to approve a final Aliens movie, despite knowing they’d be unlikely to approve a movie starring a female action hero in her sixties. She eventually abandoned the idea, and looking forward to Prometheus, whether or not the plot was directly inspired by her. “‘That’s show-business,’ she says [about not being cast]. ‘I don’t take it personally.'”
