Pokémon turns 20 this year, and Nintendo is doing everything they can to make the anniversary mythical—really. They’re going to give away a bunch of mythical Pokémon.

As you can see in the announcement video above, they’ll start giving new ones away monthly (starting next month) to Pokémon fans playing the 3DS’s Pokémon X, Y, Omega Ruby, or Alpha Sapphire. For those who haven’t put down the cash for a 3DS yet, there’s a commemorative New 3DS decorated with art from the original Pokémon games, and it also comes with the digital versions of Pokémon Red and Pokémon Blue pre-loaded. The re-releases and bundle will be available starting February 27, the 20th anniversary of the games’ original Japanese release in 1996.

There’ll also be special expansions to the Pokémon trading card game, the augmented reality Pokémon Go gamePokken Tournament, digitally remastered anime movies, merchandise, and more! Nintendo is set to air a Pokémon commercial during the super bowl, and who knows what Nintendo’s planning for this year’s E3 with new hardware on the horizon, so we’ll just have to stay tuned to find out what other presents Pokémon will bring us for its 20th birthday.
