J.K. Rowling is Thrilled By the Next Generation of Babies with Harry Potter Names

The great thing about books is that there’s always the possibility for new generations of fans. Sometimes, the parents of those new generations get them started really early by giving them names like Hermione.

J.K. Rowling couldn’t be more thrilled to see so many parents naming their children (or their pets!) after characters from her beloved series, despite the fact that when Rowling named Hermione, she picked an “unusual name” on purpose so that girls who are like the character wouldn’t be to easily made fun of. However, too many people are inspired by Hermione, and like the proud parents in the tweet above, want to give their daughters the name in honor of her.
