Last year, CBS and the writers of Grey’s Anatomy announced their plans for a new Nancy Drew adaptation–except Nancy would be a 30-something NYPD detective. It’s just been announced that Sarah Shahi from Person of Interest will play the contemporary version of the famous detective. Alongside Shahi will be Vanessa Ferlito as another detective, Anthony Edwards as her dad, and Feliz Solis as a lieutenant.
I wonder if this casting means the tone of Drew will be similar to Person of Interest and we’re going to get a grittier, updated Nancy Drew. I’m pretty excited to see Shahi as Nancy, what do you think about the casting?
