Rick & Morty fans were told (by a Mr. Poopy Butthole, no less) that they can expect brand new episodes of the incredible animated show probably no earlier than 2017. When the finale aired, everyone’s collective heart stopped. Well, now your heart can beat again, because creator Dan Harmon said that we could now expect to see new episodes of Rick & Morty hopefully by the end of 2016.

Harmon made the announcement during a Magic City Con panel, which greeted the announced return with an incredible amount of cheer. Oh, and what’s more: this season will be even longer, sitting pretty at 14 episodes (compared to 11 and 10 in the other seasons).

What do you think, folks? Are you ready for more incredibly depressing outros and Mr. Meeseeks?

Yeah. That’s the–*urrrp* stuff.
