In case you were looking for a feminist anthem about sexist double standards to take your day to the next level, look no further than Anna Wise. Her latest single, “BitchSlut” will be the next track you can’t stop listening to on repeat.

Wise recently won a Grammy for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for the song “These Walls” with Kendrick Lamar Bilal, and Thundercat, and is clearly on her way to taking the music industry by storm. In a statement to BuzzFeed, Wise explains:

Men try to trap us in this ‘damned if you do, damned if you don’t’ labyrinth of judgement. The message of ‘BitchSlut’ is very clear – it’s a declaration of freedom.

Important feminist message? Check. Infectious beat? Check. I’m looking forward to seeing what Wise comes up with next.

What about you? Are you digging this track? Let us know below!
