Row, row, row your boat, gently down the stream. Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily, Chris Hemsworth is a right glute. Entertainment Weekly shared an exclusive clip of Hemsworth’s Eric and Chastain’s Sara rowing a boat together and Eric trying (and failing) to engage in flirtatious banter. We watch the two joke about him liking loud and angry women, a tendency to make himself the hero of every story he tells, and apparently there was a time the two were tangled up together in a net. In the film, the two warriors were part of an army of children trained to become warrior huntsmen (which is a little more than troubling?) and Sara was, in the words of the synopsis, “the only woman who has ever captured his heart.”
His whole rocking the boat/I’m going to save you thing makes me hope that Sara continues to rebuke him and stays “far too clever to waster her time.” What do you think about their banter? I like the two actors so it has the potential to be cute, but the dialogue just seems a bit too cliché.
The Huntsman: Winter’s War comes out April 22nd.
When Freya (Emily Blunt), a young queen who can freeze her enemies in ice, learns of the demise of her sister, the evil Ravenna (Charlize Theron), she summons her soldiers to recover the Magic Mirror. After resurrecting Ravenna, the two wicked sisters amass a seemingly indestructible army that threatens the kingdom. Only the skills of Eric (Chris Hemsworth) and Sara (Jessica Chastain), two warriors who defied Freya by falling in love, can save this enchanted land from the forces of darkness.
