TBS has ordered another 26 episodes of Full Frontal With Samantha Bee! I’m very excited to see more of Samantha “Centaur” Bee because, well, we still have several months of this election year hell.

Deadline points out that the show, less than two months in its run, has averaged 3.7 million viewers across TBS’ different platforms, in addition to receiving a strong number of positive reviews. The show has been absolutely killing it with funny, clever, and informative coverage of topics like HB2, Texas’ Anti-Choice Bill, gun control, the rape kit backlog, Nancy Reagan and AIDS, and, of course, Ted “WHY am I being persecuted?” Cruz’s iconic performance in a 1992 Harvard Law production of The Crucible.

Brett Weitz, EVP Original Programming for TBS says, “Sam has positioned herself as an essential voice in late night, and it’s pretty clear she’s struck a nerve and filled a void.” Bee’s show also has one of the most diverse writers’ room in late night, in addition to a mentorship program developed by Winter Miller specifically for “people who have traditionally been excluded from writers’ rooms by unconscious or deliberate bias” (information here for those interested!).

Their website states “GREAT NEWS! The Full Frontal with Samantha Bee series has been picked up and will tape shows until January of 2017,” so if you’re in New York this year you can try to grab some ticketsFull Frontal airs Mondays at 10:30 PM.
