Over Instagram yesterday, Captain America: Civil War co-directors Anthony and Joe Russo shared a behind-the-scenes image that hints at what fans can expect between Black Panther and the Winter Soldier in Civil War—to wit, lots of fighting (or what the Russos trollishly call “dancing”). Collider points out that, based on what we’ve seen in other promos, this fight is probably part of a larger, motorcycle-based chase sequence. United they stand! Divided they fall!
Captain America: Civil War arrives in the U.S. May 6th, 2016 (that’s so soon!), and stars, among others, Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Evans as Steve Rogers, Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther, Emily VanCamp as Sharon Carter, Sebastian Stan as the Winter Soldier, Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch, Paul Bettany as The Vision, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, and Don Cheadle as War Machine.
Any thoughts on that image, friends? Are you as shocked to realize Civil War is now barely one month away as I am? Where does the time go!
Here’s an official synopsis for the film:
Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War finds Steve Rogers leading the newly formed team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. But after another incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability, headed by a governing body to oversee and direct the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers, resulting in two camps—one led by Steve Rogers and his desire for the Avengers to remain free to defend humanity without government interference, and the other following Tony Stark’s surprising decision to support government oversight and accountability.
