We’ve been getting so many intriguing updates on the production of Kingsman: The Golden Circle recently that I was almost becoming jaded—but then Channing Tatum rode his pony aboard.

The Hollywood Reporter claims that America’s favorite rollerblading werewolf was offered several roles in the Kingsman sequel, ranging from supporting characters to cameos, but it’s unclear which he’s signed on for (although the poster he tweeted hints his character will be Southern, at the very least). Production for The Golden Circle is set to start shooting in London this May. It’s worth noting that Tatum’s Gambit was also slated to film this spring, but that Fox recently removed the film from its upcoming release schedule, so production on it has presumably been pushed back slightly. Tatum recently starred in Magic Mike XXL, Hail, Caesar!, and The Hateful Eight, and is also signed on for that Men In Black/21 Jump Street crossover, MIB 23.

Kingsman: The Golden Circle will also star Taron Egerton, Mark Strong, Julianne Moore, Halle Berry, Elton John, and Pedro Pascal as someone named “Jack Daniels.”

And so it begins #Eggsy & #Jack #Kingsman2 #MARV #FOX

The end of the first Kingsman movie disappointed me (and director Matthew Vaughn’s response to critics only made things worse). But, going off this cast at least, Golden Circle has the potential to be a very interesting film. I’d like to see a few more ladies in that roster eventually, but it’s still early days yet.
