The Star Wars Force for Change charity campaign has been a massive success already, and to offer thanks on behalf of the folks at Lucasfilm, Daisy Ridley recorded a fun video packed with some of our favorite Star Wars characters for Star Wars day. The video’s about as adorable as you’d imagine a video with Ridley, Admiral Ackbar, BB-8, and a Finn action figure might be. What’s neat about the video is that it looks like they’re filming it on the set of Episode VIII, with a bunch of actors in full costume who notice Ridley’s recording a video, then just stop because hey, who doesn’t want to be in a popular internet video?
The best part is when Ridley opens the gift from John Boyega. She said, “John didn’t tell me we were doing gifts,” like it was Valentine’s Day or Christmas or something. Well, considering it’s Star Wars day, that’s pretty much exactly what this day must feel like for a lot of Star Wars fans, hm? But the gift she opens is just completely priceless, and yeah, that is so him, isn’t it? If you want to donate to Force for Change, the campaign is still open. If you donate at least $10.00, you’re entered into a contest where you could win a trip to Skellig Michael aka That One Island Luke Ran Off To After Everything Went To Poop. Or, if you’re the top fundraiser this week, you could win a trip to Star Wars Celebration in London to hang out with Mark Hamill.
C’mon, donate. You’re helping a good cause, and you could win some rad stuff. Go on, then!
