Ever since it was announced that Supergirl would not only be returning for a second season, but heading over to The CW to join the other DCTV superhero shows, the news was met with a mixed fan response.

There was excitement that the show would finally be on the same network as all of the other DC comics adaptations, but also concern that a smaller budget for the second season might have a negative affect on special effects or the ability to retain certain actors from season one.

Personally, I choose to remain on the side of cautious optimism–and I’m just glad we are getting a season two of Supergirl, regardless of network it’s on. Besides, you can’t deny that it’s going to be absolutely fabulous to have a different superhero show on The CW from Monday through Thursday–and that Supergirl is going to be remaining in its original Monday night timeslot, paired with similarly happy-Monday show Jane the Virgin. (They’re not on at competing times anymore! I don’t have to fight over which one I want to watch!)

Yesterday the CW confirmed its official October rollout schedule for the fall, so here’s what you can expect in terms of which shows will be returning when:

Tuesday, October 4
The Flash season premiere (8 p.m.)
No Tomorrow series premiere (9 p.m.)

Wednesday, October 5
Arrow season premiere (8 p.m.)
Frequency series premiere (9 p.m.)

Monday, October 10
Supergirl season two premiere (8 p.m.)
No Tomorrow premiere episode encore (9 p.m.)

Thursday, October 13
DC’s Legends of Tomorrow season premiere (8 p.m.)
Supernatural season premiere (9 p.m.)

Monday, October 17
Supergirl encore (8 p.m.)
Jane The Virgin season premiere (9 p.m.)

Friday, October 21
The Vampire Diaries season premiere (8 p.m.)
Crazy Ex-Girlfriend season premiere (9 p.m.)

There you have it! So… is it October yet?
