One of the best things about J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter books is the work of Mary GrandPré, the illustrator whose work graces the pages of the original series. Now, another artist has taken the illustrations to the next level in a series of completely illustrated retellings of the Harry Potter stories, making them even more magical.

British artist Jim Kay is currently working on fully-illustrated versions of the Harry Potter books. Last year saw the release of the first book, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. Now, we have Chamber of Secrets to look forward to, and we can see some of the incredible art in the book trailer above!

We’ve already seen much of this art thanks to it being released via Pottermore, but this video makes me wish that the book, and these gorgeous illustrations, came to life the way paintings do at Hogwarts. Someone can figure that out, right?

Thankfully, we don’t have long to wait for Chamber of Secrets. It’s set for release from Bloomsbury and Scholastic October 4th.
