Whether or not you’re excited for Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them, it’s always fun to meet other Harry Potter fans, so that’s as good a reason as any to get psyched for this upcoming international event organized by the Fantastic Beasts team. This global fan event will take place on October 13th, simultaneously in 18 IMAX theatres around the world. It might even be in a city near you!

At first, the Fantastic Beasts team planned to only host these events in New York, Los Angeles, London, Sao Paulo, Rome, and Mexico City. However, thanks to popular demand, they’ve added more events at the following locations in the United States: San Francisco, Chicago, Dallas, Miami, Orlando, Washington D.C., Toronto, and Atlanta. They’ve also added four more events overseas in Paris, Santiago, Bogota and San Juan. If that popular demand continues, perhaps this event could come to an IMAX theatre near you?

Sounds like it’ll be worth your while to schlep out to one of these screenings, because according to the promotional video (embedded up top), Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Alison Sudol, and Dan Fogler will be broadcasting a live Q&A about their starring roles in the movie. They’ll also be present in-person at the London fan event, from whence they’ll be broadcasting live. Fantastic Beasts director David Yates will also be appearing at the London event, although it’s not specified whether he’ll be part of the Q&A. Meanwhile, at the fan event in Los Angeles, Colin Farrell and Jon Voight will be there in person as well, although again it’s not clear whether they’ll be answering questions or just hand-shaking with lucky LA-based fans. Any fans in attendance at these globals events across the planet will be encouraged to send in questions for the opportunity to see them answered by the cast during the live-stream.

But this isn’t just a global Q&A broadcast to promote the movie. In the video, Redmayne promises that audiences will be “the first to see some exciting new footage,” so it sounds like fans will get a peek at some as-yet-unreleased Fantastic Beasts scenes. Even better, audiences attending this event in United States IMAX theatres will also get to stick around for the first-ever premiere of the IMAX version of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.

This is truly going to be a Potter-tastic event, so wear your best robes, stow your wand in your pocket, and head on over to wbtickets.com/fantasticbeastsWB for tickets.
