Crackle’s SuperMansion is a stop-motion comedy from creators Zeb Wells and and Matthew Senreich, who previously worked on Robot Chicken. The story follows a dysfunctional group of superheroes called the League of Freedom, who never seem to agree on anything except stopping the evil forces that pop up. The series features the voices of Keegan-Michael Key (Key & Peele), Breckin Meyer (Clueless, Franklin and Bash), and Heidi Gardner (Bratz). Guest stars include Jim Parson (The Big Bang Theory), Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad), Gary Anthony Williams (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, The Boondocks), and the late Anton Yelchin (Star Trek).

As part of our New York Comic-Con coverage, I hit up some of the cast and crew to talk about their upcoming special, “SuperMansion: The War on Christmas,” which centers on Santa Claus experiencing an existential crisis after realizing he’d have to deliver so many presents in one night. We also discussed the show’s interesting character names, and I even got to ask Keegan-Michael Key his thoughts on Jordan Peele’s directorial debut with the horror film, Get Out. Plus, Heidi Gardner and I did some fangirling of Tom Hiddleston’s Loki in the Thor films, and Gary Anthony Williams was not impressed.

SuperMansion returns to Crackle in early 2017. However, the “War on Christmas” special is set to premiere on December 8.
