While last week’s episode of Saturday Night Live premiered to positive reviews, one sketch that caught on (to the surprise of many) was “Haunted Elevator”, in which Tom Hanks played the bizarre yet impeccably dressed David S. Pumpkins–complete with backup b-boy skeletons. It was a relatively simple bit at its core, but somehow the combination of Hanks throwing himself into the character along with Mikey Day and Bobby Moynihan giving it their all on the dancing front made the whole thing that much more hilarious. It’s possible that I may not be able to get that song out of my head, either.

If you’ve wondered whether David S. Pumpkins would be just as scary outside the 100 Floors of Frights, wonder no more; BuzzFeed’s Jesse McLaren has brilliantly inserted the man into scenes from famous scary movies. The goal? To see whether the appearance of Pumpkins makes or breaks a scary movie.

Now that the David Pumpkins suit is selling out online left and right (so much for that last-minute Halloween costume), you might be wondering if there’s enough room for two pumpkin-related Halloween memes. (Dancing pumpkin man, anyone?) On the other hand, David Pumpkins does make up 73 of those 100 Floors of Frights; I think he can stand to share the spotlight a bit.
