I get it. Sometimes you just need to step away from the lengthy think-pieces detailing the uncertain future we’re facing. Thankfully, Kings of Con is here to quell those worrisome thoughts, even if just for a few minutes. The scripted comedy centers on Supernatural stars Richard Speight, Jr. and Rob Benedict as they hit the convention circuit where hijinks are sure to ensue. These weekly calamities arise, not from their passionate fan base, but from the actors who always seem to find their way into trouble.
Loosely based on their lives, Richard and Rob play fictionalized versions of themselves: Rich is a thrice divorced former actor whose con enjoyment derives from the fans who still think he matters. Rob, a divorcee-to-be, jumps back into the con world thanks to the legal fees from his failed marriage as well as a stalled career. A few weeks ago, Rob visited our office for a fun Facebook Live chat, which you can watch in its entirety here.
Kings of Con is available to stream now. New episodes will be released every Tuesday.
