When you’ve been around as long as Metallica has (their first album came out in 1983!), you don’t have to prove yourself to anyone! So, if they want to play one of their greatest hits, “Enter Sandman,” on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon? On classroom instruments? They’re damn well gonna do it! NASA’s Peggy Whitson is not only the oldest woman to go into space at 56 years old but, this being her third trip into space, she’s the first woman to command the ISS twice after becoming the first woman to command the ISS back in 2007. Meanwhile, French astronaut Thomas Pesquet of the European Space Agency is only the 10th person from France to ever leave Earth’s orbit! (via The Verge)
