Cleverbot apparently passed a Turing Test then didn’t pass a Turing Test a few years ago, but none of that matters now because Jane Ritt ran a small D&D adventure with it and now we know what Cleverbot’s true purpose in life is.

  • Larry Wilmore seems to be bouncing back from the disappointing cancellation of The Nightly Show, as he’s just inked a new deal with ABC Studios. (via Variety)
  • Speaking of new deals, apparently Ivan Reitman said that there are plenty more Ghostbusters films in the works. That’s just excellent—here’s hoping that we’ll get to see them soon! (via /Film)

  • Speaking of xenophobia, the Associated Press has released an advisory guideline that asks journalists and media-types to not use “alt-right” without providing sufficient context or definition. Quote the guideline: “Avoid using the term generically and without definition, however, because it is not well known and the term may exist primarily as a public-relations device to make its supporters’ actual beliefs less clear and more acceptable to a broader audience.” Thanks and all, but wouldn’t this have been nice before the “alt-right’s” white supremacist/nationalist views were made mainstream and normalized?
