It’ll be a while until Disney Parks’ Star Wars Land becomes a reality, so until then here’s the Death Star Strike to fulfill all your nerdy rollercoaster needs. Yes, I know that Star Tours exists, but not all of us live near a Disney park!

Youtuber Chuck Maurice, who’s made other coasters like this Indiana Jones one, has made a simulation with Planet Coaster that begins in a Rebel hidden base (where you’ll wait in line) and becomes one wild ride full of explosions and thrills. The StarSpeeder 3000, he says, was inspired by Disneyland Paris.

The detail is amazing, and I even paused the ride a few times to try and see everything. There would’ve been even more, he says in the video description, but the coaster “started to be a bit laggy.” If Star Wars Land is anything like this, we’re in for a treat.

Would you take the Death Star Strike for a spin?
