Here’s Netflix’s latest trailer for Iron Fist, featuring Rosario Dawson being hilarious as Claire Temple. “I am the Iron Fist,” Danny Rand declares dramatically. To which she, along with the rest of us, can only respond: “What the hell does that mean?”

Okay, she’s not actually all of us. I’m sure several of you have heard of this character and you can’t wait for him to show up on Netflix this March 17th. Personally, though, I’m with Claire on this. I’m not a longtime fan of this particular hero, so I don’t understand what Iron Fist’s deal is, beyond what I’ve read on Wikipedia… and so far, I’m not sure I’m on board. I’m definitely glad that Claire Temple will be there to usher me through this strange new world.

Sadly, Misty Knight is no longer slated to show up in Iron Fist—although she will be in The Defenders later. That said, Claire Temple’s face won’t be the only familiar one on this show. Carrie-Anne Moss will be reprising her role as Jeri Hogarth from Jessica Jones, which makes sense, given that her comic book counterpart played a big role in Iron Fist canon. She doesn’t pop up in this trailer, though. Maybe she’ll be in a future one?

This trailer outlines the basics of the Iron Fist story, and since it’s a very familiar plot, it’s not really grabbing me quite yet. I’m still glad to see Claire Temple’s characteristic snark, though, and I was also intrigued by the all-too-brief glimpses we got to see here of Jessica Henwick kicking butt as the katana-wielding Colleen Wing. At the very least, I think Iron Fist is going to give us some cool-looking fight scenes. What do we think so far?
