These two beautiful timber wolves look just as snuggly and nuzzly as a couple of husky dogs… but they’re not husky dogs. They’re much bigger and stronger, and they are not tame. They’re just being playful with their handlers because they trust them, and that amount of trust and love and care is beautiful to see.
The main wolf in this video is named Kekoa, and he lives at the Colorado Wolf & Wildlife Center along with the rest of his canine and human pals, such as his human friend Danielle–whom he trusts enough to allow her to give him tummy rubs and back scratches. Awww.
The center has a noble mission, according to their website: to educate the public about these animals, as well as to take in animals in need of a safe home. The center is certified by the Association of Zoos & Aquariums, which is itself an affiliate of the National Recreation and Park Association. If you want to donate to the center or volunteer, there’s more information about it on their website!
