Fitting for a Deadpool film, the first teaser for Deadpool 2 is one long gag. Wade rushes into a phone booth and struggles to change into his skintight Deadpool suit, Superman-style, in time to stop the robbery of an old man. Of course, he takes much longer than expected. Ryan Reynolds shared the teaser, titled “No Good Deed,” on Twitter with the caption, “Anyone know the number to 911?”
The teaser also fits in an f-bomb, plenty of jokes about Logan (“What’s he gotta change into? Guys wears a fucking tank top and a pair of jeans”), and a brief cameo from Stan Lee. (I didn’t spot either of the character’s co-creators, Rob Liefeld or Fabian Nicieza, but maybe you have a better eye than me.)
It end with the words, “Coming Soon. Not Soon Enough.”
Directed by David Leitch from a script by Rhett Rheese, Paul Wernick, and Drew Goddard, Deadpool 2 is due in theaters on March 2, 2018.
