We know legendary composer Hans Zimmer loves touring and bringing his amazing scores to concert, but it was definitely an unexpected treat to see his performance at Coachella which has apparently expanded its genres to movie scores.
Accompanied by a live orchestra, Zimmer performed songs from Inception, Pirates of the Caribbean, and The Dark Knight. The festival uploaded the Inception medley which features the composer on guitar with appropriate Coachella lights. And if you’re curious about what things looked like from the ground, well:

As if you needed more convincing, Zimmer’s Coachella performance gives us a look at how cool his 2017 World Tour Live is going to sound. He’s going to be touring a bunch this year and hopefully making his way to other festivals. Though the famous composer has stated he’s no longer scoring superhero movies (his credits this year so far include Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk and the animated Boss Baby), he’ll no doubt play his best tracks.
What’s your favorite Zimmer score (and why is it The Prince of Egypt)?
