Could this sort of mashup happen in any more appropriate place? Our tipster Arthur writes, “It’s called “The Ballad of Raleigh and Drake”, and basically tells the story of two of England’s greatest heroes – Sir Francis Drake and Sir Walter Raleigh – except it does so to the tune of the “The Hero of Canton” from the Jaynestown episode of Firefly. Because England’s greatest privateers would have been Browncoats had they been given the option, I suppose.”

Arthur says that this performance was on the program of the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire, where he worked this summer.

(Thanks, Arthur!)

Instead she stumbled into a great job: founding and running this very website (she's Editor at Large now, very fancy). She's spoken at events like Geek Girl Con, New York Comic Con, and Comic Book City Con, wants to get a Batwoman tattoo and write a graphic novel, and one of her canine teeth is in backwards.
