To Celebrate Riverdale, Netflix Gave Us Cole Sprouse Burger Porn

Netflix apparently knows the Riverdale audience well—to mark the show’s imminent arrival on the streaming service, a new promo shows Cole Sprouse, a.k.a. Jughead Jones, eating a hamburger for a solid minute. Thank you, Netflix.

On Thursday, May 18th, Riverdale‘s first season will be available for binging on Netflix. And how! In my opinion this campy, frothy-as-a-Pop’s-milkshake show is best consumed in satisfying bursts. Riverdale might not be Emmy material, but it’s clever and self-aware enough to make for an excellent time-killing distraction.

Riverdale‘s breakout star, and character, has to be Cole Sprouse’s moody, broody Jughead. As the show’s narrator, Jughead’s wry observations first endeared us to him, and as the season advanced, his steadfast Girl Friday routine with Betty became Riverdale‘s heart.

Ostensible protagonist Archie Andrews is as mild and milquetoast as they come, so it was left for the other characters to fill the fan-favorite void. Not only is Jughead pretty much universally beloved by Riverdale watchers, but actor Cole Spouse and his lively Twitter feed have proven to be double the fun. To follow Cole Sprouse on Twitter is to know delight.

Trump getting elected is because a generation of people played Wario in mariokart64. “Ima gunna win” could very well be a quote from either.

Netflix combined the star’s game, tongue-in-cheek attitude with Riverdale‘s obsession with fast foods and the result is an entire minute of Cole Sprouse eating a burger with sexy music as a backdrop. If this doesn’t make you want to watch Riverdale, I’m not sure what will. I’m a vegetarian, but this just sold me on a rewatch.
