The DCEU right now #wonderwoman https://t.co/aYEqvc7f9e

We already thought Wonder Woman couldn’t get here fast enough, but now there’s even more reason to feel that way. Whether you’ve been underwhelmed with the DCEU movies so far or enjoyed them, the buzz so far is that we’re all in for the best of the bunch when Wonder Woman finally makes her solo movie debut.
Instead of the usual post-6PM news sh**show we’ve become so used to on the Internet over the past few weeks, last night wound up incredibly upbeat and hopeful. We were treated to glowing impressions from critics who have been lucky enough to see the movie already, even though full reviews are still under embargo from the time being. For those of you who’d rather avoid spoilers anyway, though, these early takes should be enough to tide you over until June 2.
Here’s a sampling of what was being said:
WONDER WOMAN: Easily my favorite DCEU film. Has the humor and heart the franchise so desperately needs. Gadot and Pine are charming as hell.

#WonderWoman is the easily the best DCEU movie so far. It's got heart and a love of heroes. Pine and Gadot are charming beyond measure.

It def has some problems and withers a bit in the 3rd act, but there's no doubt I'll be seeing it again.
— Haleigh Foutch (@HaleighFoutch) May 19, 2017
#WonderWoman is exactly the hero we need to see right now and Pine reminds why he's the best Chris.

“The ‘Wonder Woman’ Embargo Has Lifted Twitter” is my favorite Twitter. Also: #WonderWoman is really damn good. Loved every minute.

Obviously an in-depth review coming, but I'm overjoyed to see a long-overdue ass-kicking ray of hope in the DCEU & her name is #WonderWoman.

There’s plenty more where that came from, and we could not be happier to hear it—not only that it’s awesome and Wonder Woman kicks ass, but that there’s solid cast chemistry and heart for an overall great movie. We take a lot of flack around here for being “pro-Marvel” and “anti-DC,” at least when it comes to the movies, but everyone who’s ever said that has no idea how much we’ve all wanted to love the DCEU movies. I can’t speak for everyone on staff, but so far, I just … haven’t. I don’t hate them. I don’t want them to do poorly—quite the opposite.
In fact, I’d love nothing more than for one of them to really grab me and maybe start to turn my opinion around, and I’m thrilled at the idea that Wonder Woman may be the one to do it. Director Patty Jenkins and star Gal Gadot are pretty happy about the impressions so far, too:
So touched I can’t take it. Thank you for believing in us! ‘Wonder Woman’: Here Are the First Reactions https://t.co/9gy8TpNJvl via @ew
