Artist Cory Godbey’s work can be seen in the award-winning comic anthology series Flight as well as as project for big publishers like Random House and Marvel. I’m sure I’ve seen his work before today but this is the first time I’ve really looked at it. And it’s gorgeous. Hit the jump for a sampling of illustrations featuring characters from Harry Potter, Super Mario Bros., Labyrinth and more!

This last one is a page from Godbey’s work in the upcoming Free Comic Book Day offering from Archaia. It’s a Labyrinth story called Hoggle and the Worm and it’s written by Ted Naifeh and Adrianne Ambrose. I, for one, am certainly looking forward to it.

For more of Godbey’s work, check out his blog, portfolio, and Tumblr, and look for prints of some of these images on his Etsy page.
