Lately, networks have taken to livestreaming (specifically Facebook Live) to reveal release dates for their shows in new, publicity stunting ways. This is no different, though it is perhaps a hell of a lot more adorable, seeing as how I’ll take ducklings over ice melting any day.
Disney XD opted to share the release date of their new upcoming highly-anticipated DuckTales reboot by way of placing a bunch of ducklings in three different little “pools” and having us all watch them waddle around. It’s not a direct reveal as it requires just a tiny bit of reasoning on the part of the viewer. So, like, can you guess what the release date is?
It’s July 11th, 2017. Or 7/11/17, which is how many ducks are in each “pool.” Neat, huh?
So we’re less than a month out from something I know I’m excited for. Just in case you’ve somehow missed all the DuckTales news, check out this first trailer. You should also take note of the downright incredible cast, which includes Danny Pudi, Kate Micucci, Bobby Moynihan, Ben Schwartz, Toks Olagundoye, Beck Bennett, and David quackin’ Tennant, who plays the classic Scottish duck, Uncle Scrooge. Oh, and recently it was revealed that Lin-Manuel Miranda would be taking on a role as well, playing Gizmoduck.
How could you possibly go wrong?
