It’s a kind of a double dose of Monday Cute today and let’s be honest: we could all use it.
San Diego Comic Con went down over the weekend, and in addition to giving us—and especially the fans in attendance—some incredible glimpses at what’s to come for our favorite franchises, it gave everyone a fun excuse to throw on some cosplay and maybe meet some of their favorite people. That’s exactly what happened for a young Wonder Woman cosplayer who got to talk to Gal Gadot herself, which clearly meant a lot to her.
In the video above, you can see her tear up while she talks to Gadot, and who comforted her, saying, “There’s no reason to cry, all right. Here we are together.” It’s hard to make out the rest of their conversation, but it’s pretty easy to see what’s going on just by the visual, as Gadot takes the girl’s hands to chat with her.
On Facebook, Christine Keller, the girl’s mother, wrote, “These characters matter and can have a huge influence on young people. What a great role model and genuine, nice person. My daughter will always remember this moment for the rest of her life. Thank you, Gal Gadot!” Not only was Wonder Woman a critical and box office success, but the movie and character mean so much more than that to so many people.
