In awesome news, Issa Rae’s HBO show Insecure has been renewed for at third season, assuring us that Issa, Molly, and Lawrence won’t be getting their lives in perfect order just yet.
Rae gave the official announcement of Twitter, using the name of the non-profit Insecure-Issa works for: We Got Y’all.

Season 2 of Insecure has been fantastic so far as it tackles the messiness of a break-up, Molly deals with unequal pay at her workplace, and the unraveling of Lawrence’s “good guy” character. I’m very excited to see the cast get another season to explore messy relationships, maturing, and friendship in the way they have been. We’ve grown so attached to these characters (have you seen the #TeamLawrence vs #TeamIssa fights?), and I’m very invested in seeing them grow. The painful awkwardness and bad decisions are always great moments, but we’re also rooting for them to make better life decisions.
With an amazing team that includes the talents of director Melina Matsoukas, music consultant Solange Knowles, and, of course, Rae herself, the comedic sensibility and storytelling of Insecure is off the charts.
Are you excited for another season of Insecure?
